PREMIER / B2B CAT LITTER
Buying Cat Litter for Import: A Planning Checklist
Prepare a clear order and shipping brief for cat litter purchased across borders, including products sourced from China.
Define the order before booking freight
Agree the product, packaging weight, quantity and delivery destination. Request carton counts, dimensions and weights based on the confirmed packaging. A quote with an unspecified packing basis is difficult to compare or use for shipment planning.
Confirm the contracting and shipping details
Check the company named on the quotation and commercial documents, the shipment origin and the delivery terms. A U.S.-based supplier or U.S. warehouse does not by itself establish the origin of every product. Ask for the information for your actual order.
Coordinate documents with your broker
Use your broker or freight forwarder to confirm the documents and destination requirements for the chosen material and product. Commercial invoice, packing list and transport documents should agree on product descriptions, quantities and weights. Any origin, testing or compliance documents depend on the actual shipment.
This guide is a business planning checklist. It does not provide a tariff classification or country-specific legal clearance instruction.
Review packaging and labels
- Destination language and approved product claims.
- Bag and carton markings, barcode data and net weight.
- Instructions appropriate to the selected product.
- Any pallet or handling requirements confirmed for the shipment.
Confirm the delivery arrangement
Ask who arranges each transport stage and which charges are included in the quotation. For U.S. warehouse delivery, confirm availability and destination coverage before promising a schedule to your own customer.
